Typography Chalk Art

There is such a huge craze with chalkboards right now. We too joined in the fun with the chalkboard  I made out of a shutter for our entry.

Except for an occasional baby shower or birthday party, I rarely use our chalkboard. It primarily get’s used by the kids. But, like anything new with kids, they are starting to lose interest.

For the most part it just sits blank in our entry.

Since my kids seem to have forgotten about it, I decided to give chalk art a try, inspired from the amazing Dana Tanamachi.

Isn’t she brilliant?!?

Now, I am no artist (camera girl remember?) but I did have a lot of fun giving it a try.

And what did Lily think of my new found craft?

Ummm, yeah.

Not too crazy about me stepping into her turf. :)
