We seem to have a serious Turtle Trek competition goin’ on in these parts.
(You can view my original post over at Tech4Moms here.)
So the game is totally free for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch, and the thing we love about it is the entire family loves to play it.
So much, in fact, that the kids have downloaded it on multiple devies so they can play the game at the same time and see who can get the furthest.
Nothin’ like a little healthy competition, am I right? Oh, yeah.
Turtle Trek is the first mobile game created by SeaWorld. It’s an adorable game where you start out playing as a newborn sea turtle on the beach. As you grow up and swim through the ocean, you’ll meet and interact with new friends. I love that throughout the game you learn fun facts about them too! The game is also really challenging, as you must dodge predators like sea gulls, sharks, and even barracuda!
Ummm… how adorable is the illustrated version Shamu???
Is it possible to completely fall in love with a killer whale?
Yeah. I think so.
The entire Turtle Trek game consists of 5 different brightly illustrated zones, and is full of unique challenges. I also love that throughout the game you can earn adorable stickers and collect them in an in-app sticker book. Seriously such a fun idea.
The game does have an in-app purchase if you choose to play more levels. SeaWorld generously donates a portion of the proceeds to the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund, which benefits animals and sea creatures around the world.
With four kids ranging from four to fourteen, I just can’t tell you how nice it is to find a free, family friendly game that the whole family enjoys playing. We are planning a trip to SeaWorld soon and I love how the app is getting everyone so excited to go! Even if you have never been to SeaWorld, the app has a wonderful educational component that is fabulous for kids of all ages.
Stay tuned for future posts about our upcoming trip to SeaWorld… and how I totally am kicking butt at the Turtle Trek competition around here.
