Sorting the Mail

Furniture moving around is in full swing around here!

Good thing I have two brothers (and a husband who not only moves furniture but helps edit my posts and inserts himself when it seems possible he was overlooked), who love to move heavy stuff every time they come over. Last time they were both at my house I made them move a wicked heavy treadmill downstairs. And then two weeks later I decided I wanted it back upstairs.

Yup, that’s how I roll.

If you are new around these parts, you can view where the mail sorter was living before it came downstairs right HERE, and here it is in its new home, the entry:

I am still deciding what to do with the space in the hallway where it was. I am dreaming of a full wall of custom shelving for books. I most likely will end up buying something cheap from Ikea. Again, how I roll.

And lastly, one of my favorite yard sale finds from a few weeks ago. An antique pram for $30. It’s living in the corner of my living room where Lily constantly tries to fill it with stuffed animals and I constantly tell her to leave it alone, and even more constantly tell friends it has nothing to do with my current hormonal craving for something infantile.

Cute, no? I think I will stack a few small quilts or couch throws inside.

Now, just so I stop throwing random projects at you, here’s what is currently on my to do list:

-Taylor’s room. Now that she is in the smallest room all by herself we need to get it organized. I really want a built-in bookshelf in her room. Still trying to decide if I dare do it on my own.

-Matthew’s closet. It has somehow become a monster of a mess and I have a few creative organizational ideas up my sleeve. I hopefully will be posting it on Organized Mom soon.

-The upstairs hallway. Now that the mail sorter is gone we need something there. Hmmmm…

-I am determined to learn how to make candles. I have never done it before so it’s officially on my crafting bucket list. Ever made your own candles before? Any tips?
