My girls have started collecting pressed pennies.
I have seen this idea several times in blogland, so here’s our attempt.
Super simple, just punch a whole in the pennies.

The pennies are thin from pressing, so a small screwdriver and hammer did the trick.

I picked up a chain at the local craft store, and voila! Here’s Taylor modeling her new bracelet.

Much better than pennies collecting in a drawer.
The girls are excited to continue adding to their collection!

Now find a creative way for boys to display theirs. My boys love pressed pennies.

great idea! Thanks for showing how you made the hole. I tried making holes in my son’s pressed pennies with a drill bit and broke the bit! Yours seems like a much better solution! My plan was to hang these as ornaments on a tiny “vacation” Christmas tree in his room. Your bracelet idea makes me think of making a garland to hang from his corkboard instead.

I love this…I have been collecting them for years. I am not even a kid! I keep mine in a little folio that my sister-in-law bought for me. I may have to pull them out and start me a bracelet. I already have several charm bracelets, one of my many passions. This will be a nice addition to my bracelet stash! Thanks for sharing! Lynne
BTW I call them Squished Pennies. I think there is actually a club/website for collectors of Squished Pennies.

My girls have a collection of pressed pennies. What a great way to keep them out of the bottom of their dresser drawers!
