So here’s what the flooring looked like before we started:
During:

And after:

As for how it turned out we absolutely love it. I was so worried about how dark everything was going to look, but fortunately we get great light in our home and it hasn’t seemed dark at all. It feels very industrial but comfortable at the same time. More pictures to come!

Oh no, don't tear the carpet out! I've realized the importance of carpets last year when I fell from our stairs and the carpet softened the blow to my head. If it weren't for our extra thick carpet there, my head could have had a concussion.
That's why we now give it special treatment by having carpet cleaners (Indianapolis-based) pamper it once every four months! Well, for saving my life, the least that I can do for it is professional carpet cleaning (Indianapolis, Indiana).

It looks great!! I want to do this to our floors! I think it looks amazing, but I am worried that it will be really cold. Is it noticibly colder?
It has been a year, how is it holding up? Did you put a rug under your kitchen table too?
Sorry for the 20 questions . . . I am just so excited to see yours come out so well. I want to rip up the carpets right now and begin!

I Love your floor! we have half of our down stairs without carpet and we were just looking at flooring again, but I keep coming back to just painting the concrete. I would love to know what you used and how you did it… is there a Tutorial that you did on this or just a before and after?
I would still like to know how you decided on the pattern also, that is really what I love the most about it, not just painting it but putting a pattern on it.
Great Job.
