Matthew’s Room

Matthew loves maps. Every museum we visit, or road trip we take, Matthew wants a map to look at.

Over time his map collection has grown and grown.

He was in heaven the day I brought this case of  US state maps home!

Since he adores maps so much, it just made sense to let his room evolve into something full of maps and globes.

Here’e the right side of his room:

And the left:

The tables are old high school chemistry tables. When our son has friends over, the first thing they want to do is play Legos, so it just make sense to have a table for him, and one for a friend.

The back wall us Matthew’s closet, and his little chest he likes to sit on and read books.

The locker front came from a yard sale, and it has evolved into a magnet board.

(You can view my post where I made the map magnets here.)

That’s it! That’s the room of a Lego-loving, eleven year old boy!

Oh, wait! I did forget one more thing!

We also installed a swing. :)

I think this may be my favorite room in your house… though it's probably because it's feeding my own map-loving ways :)
