Fire Pit

Before:

Up close…

After:

Mr. Wright built these lovely benches last week. The posts are cemented deep in the ground and feel very solid.

The wood is just more salvaged farm wood that we got for free. The gravel was also free from a neighbor whom happened to have extra after completing a yard project of his own.

The north side of the fire pit has been taken over by the raspberry bushes. We might put another bench there down the road. Anyone else have tons of bushes, but very little fruit this year?

Now we just need to move and organize the wood pile to the side, and plant some shrubs for privacy in front of the fence.

It’s finally coming along!

I love this beautiful little family space you've made. How cozy I see lots of marshmallows in your future. Enjoy.

What was the fire pit made from? Looks great and my husband is very curious if its a 55 gallon drum.

Hi Crystal! We did not use a 55 gallon drum. The metal ring is aluminum pipe that was a scrap piece at my husbands work. Totally random, but we had a vision! :) We also used masonite board as the frame for the concrete, with chicken wire added inside for strength. Let me know if you have any more questions!
