My sweet little nephew is turning three next week.
My adorable sister, his mother, is my best yard sale companion in the summer, and let me just tell you that boy has every toy under the sun.
I love you dear sister, but I have told you many times we desperately need to hold a toy intervention?
Don’t worry, we will hold an intervention for me as well as I truly believe there is no purpose in a life without apple fritters.
So for my nephew I decided to go with a book that was personalized.
It is probably no surprise I went with a book by children’s illustrator Brad Sneed. Brad is an ah-mazing artist, and has illustrated over twenty books for kids. The cool thing about this book though, is Brad teamed up with a company called MarbleSpark to create a children’s book with a twist. Following Featherbottom is a personalized book where no two copies are the same. After submitting your child’s name, each book page spells out their name with a different illustration that coincides with each alphabet letter.
You can add both your child’s first and last name, and the story has all of these beautiful illustrations to go with each letter.
And of course Brad’s illustrations make the books vibrant pages loved by both big and little kids. And adults.
I kinda love this book.
And I want to keep it.
I guess it is a good thing I had his name put in it.
I cannot however guarantee that I did not get cracker crumbs in the binding after reading it for the tenth time to my own three year old.
The cost of a personalized copy of Following Featherbottom is $32.95 plus shipping. I am hoping MarbleSpark will come up with more of these personalized books as I am all for convenience, and you can’t help but love a gift you can secretly enjoy yourself before giving away.
Shhh! Don’t tell on me.
